Evening Event with Albert Flynn DeSilver
HappyWomenDinners.com invites you to explore 2018 by writing about your life with Writing Teacher Albert Flynn Desilver, author of “Writing as a Path to Awakening: A Year ToBecoming An Excellent Writer and Living An Awakened Life”. Join us for the dinner event on January 13th.
Writing as a Path to Awakening
“Writing is a path to accessing Truth with a capital T as well as a path for telling the truth with a lowercase t--the truth of our daily lives. We all noodle our way through life telling little white lies (often to ourselves first). It’s usually a matter of degree between what sets you and me apart from a blatant big old gnarly liar. Writing and mindfulness – when we commit to both practices – have a way of keeping us in check, keeping us scrupulous and honest. Meditation is a way of being truth. Writing is a medium for telling the truth.”
– Albert Flynn Desilver

Albert Flynn Desilver is an internationally published poet, memoirist, novelist, speaker, and workshop leader. He has published several books of poetry and Beamish Boy, which Kirkus Reviews called “A beautifully written memoir of awakening and self-acceptance”.
